New York, New York, big city of dreams. We here at FIFTYEIGHT PRODUCTS always like to maintain a humble and down-to-earth attitude. But we can still dream, right? And try to work our very hardest to make those dreams reality. One thing that’s been on our mind for a long time, is taking our business to New York City – the Big Apple, where everything is larger than life and on an entirely different level. So when the opportunity arose to make it happen, our two founders Max and Marc were ready to hop on a plane and make dreams come true.
The focus of the action was NY NOW tradeshow, also an XXL-sized affair, where from August 19-23 more than 2,400 exhibitors displayed their latest goods in home decor, lifestyle and arts. This was the perfect environment for FIFTYEIGHT PRODUCTS to set up our booth and display our porcelain products Made in Germany – and wait for feedback. Among visitors who happened by our booth, the most often used word was “a-m-a-z-i-n-g.” They were especially delighted by our TALENT series of porcelain cups, which soon rose to the top of the leader board in the amount of “amazing” ratings at the show.
Speaking of the TALENT series, the American audience was very receptive to the artistic geniuses in our collection. They loved Richard Wagner, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. All of them. And most visitors could even name their major works and era in which they crafted their most famous works. The Big Apple is also “big” on European culture, we love it.
Visitors also loved that our products carry the seal of quality “Made in Germany” according to environmental and technical standards. And many were delighted to know that our “quirky” porcelain products are also fully microwave-safe and dishwasher-proof.
Overall, it was an exciting and reassuring first business trip to the Big Apple. We met lots of amazing people who loved our products and feel like we planted the foundation for long-term business success in the United States.

Marc and Max want to say thanks to everyone at NY NOW for coming to talk to us. Here’s a big “American handshake” – thank you New York City and see you soon!
